We're not sure when having surgery became great news...but this is!
The biopsy results came back today and the tumor's in her abdomen are a different type of cancer than breast cancer! So, surgery is scheduled for next Thursday 11/6 to remove them and get Wanda on the path to treatment!!!
Your prayers are working!! The chances of having two types of cancer at one time are (presumably) low. And, yet here it is!We give thanks for this opportunity. And, we ask that you continue to pray and send positive thoughts for Wanda as we enter another phase in the battle.
Warriors, Wanda is winning this war one battle at a time! Wanda is an amazingly strong, courageous and incredible woman! So, celebrate this victory...and continue the fight!!

Woo Hoo - Awesome............
The Power of Prayer Prevails!!!
We are thinking of you here in the Wild Chicago Contingent. - Love Jim and Jodie!!!!!
"Sheila Martin from NAWIC; dinky little Birdsboro PA in Region 1 checking-in today - Mary Ellen served-up your blog to me this AM; so glad to hear that your medical watchdogs are agressively going after this - to heal you, to restore your life, for your to reclaim your fully-deserved vitality".
Wanda, I met you at NAWIC conventions, but feel an immediate and lasting bond with you - for your love of construction, of work and purpose in general; love of the people and powerful friendships you have reaped from this association, and the growth you can chart in your journey along Life's Way. Though just a few hours or days accumulated in your presence, I can positively state that everything on your blog and said by these contributors is absolutely true: you just light up the place and we just love you immediately!
Just the mention of your name makes us smile!
Time is now, to also be inspired by you and to pray for you; which I pledge to do.
You might want to look for a few lines from my sister Brenda too, Wanda, my personal hero back here on the East Coast, also surviving - our maiden name was obscure and started with a W, so we find them sometimes silly, fun to wordsmith, inspiring and bonding as well.
My best personal laughs, smiles, hugs (which I learned to do from NAWIC!) and prayers to you today and always.
Cheers,
Sheila Martin
